Technologies and materials
Five technologies and fifteen materials cover everything from fine visual prototypes to tough functional and metal parts. Not sure? Read the technology comparison or write to us.
SLA
Fine details, smooth surface. Prototypes, enclosures, visual models.
MJF
Tough functional parts, no supports, good accuracy.
SLS
Functional parts, suitable for small series.
FDM
The cheapest technology for larger, simple parts.
SLM
Stainless steel 316L and titanium for functional metal parts.
| Technology | Accuracy | Min. wall | Surface | Strength / temperature | Typical use |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SLA (resin) | ±0.1–0.2 mm | 0.8 mm | smooth, fine details | medium / up to ~60 °C (9000HE up to ~200 °C) | enclosures, visual prototypes, light guides |
| MJF (PA12) | ±0.3 mm | 1.0 mm | slightly grainy, uniform | high / up to ~120 °C | functional parts, brackets, clips, small series |
| SLS (PA12) | ±0.3 mm | 1.0 mm | grainy | high / up to ~120 °C | larger functional parts |
| FDM (PLA/ABS) | ±0.3–0.5 mm | 1.2 mm | visible layers | medium / PLA ~55 °C, ABS ~90 °C | larger simple parts, quick prototypes |
| SLM (316L, titanium TC4) | ±0.2 mm | 1.0 mm | bead-blasted metal | very high / >200 °C | heat sinks, brackets, functional metal parts |

How pricing works
Use cases
Housings, covers and mounts for prototypes and small device series – with connector cut-outs and light guides.
Sensor mounts, holders, adapters and mechanical parts in tough nylon (MJF/SLS).
Steel and titanium brackets and parts where plastic does not hold up – SLM metal printing.
Quick prototypes to check form and fit before investing in injection moulding tools.
Jigs, positioning tools and test fixtures for assembling and testing boards.
From 10 to a few hundred pieces, while an injection mould is still too expensive.
We design the enclosure precisely around your PCB: connector cut-outs, light guides, mounting points, sealing. We check the fit and print it. For series we prepare an injection-moulding model.

STL, STEP/STP, OBJ, 3MF and IGES. Models must be in millimetres. For best results export a high-resolution STL or a STEP directly from your CAD program. Our guide on preparing STL files explains the details.
SLA (resin) for fine details and smooth surfaces, MJF or SLS (nylon) for tough functional parts, FDM for larger and cheaper parts, SLM for metal parts. The configurator shows a short description and the maximum size for every technology.
The price depends on model volume, surface area, material and quantity. It includes printing at our manufacturing partner, transport, import duties and delivery. It is shown in EUR incl. VAT.
Yes. Upload several files at once; for each model you choose its own material, colour and quantity. All models are in one order with one invoice.
Printing takes 2–5 working days depending on the technology (SLA and FDM fastest, metal slowest), plus 7–12 days of transport. The total estimated time is shown in the configurator.
SLA ±0.1–0.2 mm with 0.8 mm minimum wall; MJF/SLS ±0.3 mm with 1.0 mm; FDM ±0.3–0.5 mm with 1.2 mm; SLM ±0.2 mm with 1.0 mm. Detailed guidelines are in our enclosure design guide.
The viewer computes the volume and warns about open surfaces. The manufacturer checks the model again before printing; if there is a problem, we contact you before it goes to print.
Of course. As part of our 3D design service we model the enclosure precisely around your board, check the fit and print it. For series we prepare an injection-moulding model.
